Sie spielt auch eine zentrale Rolle in der schottischen Kunstszene, indem sie <strong>mutige<\/strong> und engagierte <strong>Wechselausstellungen<\/strong> veranstaltet.   <\/p>\n\n<p>Sie zeichnet sich auch durch ihren Garten und ihre Au\u00dfenanlagen aus, wie die <strong>Skulptur<em> Landform<\/em><\/strong>, ein Werk von <strong>Charles Jencks<\/strong>, einem Architekten und Landschaftstheoretiker. Beide Geb\u00e4ude behalten ihren historischen Charme und bieten gleichzeitig klare, helle und gut inszenierte R\u00e4ume. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Die tempor\u00e4ren Ausstellungen<\/strong> boten eine gute Gelegenheit, Neues zu entdecken. W\u00e4hrend unseres Besuchs sahen wir die textile und architektonische Welt des s\u00fcdkoreanischen K\u00fcnstlers Do Ho Suh und dann die engagierten Werke der Ausstellung <em>Women in Revolt!<\/em> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Die Skulptureng\u00e4rten<\/strong> am Ufer des <strong>Water of Leith<\/strong> verl\u00e4ngern den Besuch im Freien. Sie ist in einem <strong>ehemaligen Waisenhaus aus dem 19. Jahrhundert<\/strong> untergebracht, das heute unter dem Namen <em>Modern One<\/em> bekannt ist. Im Jahr 1999 wurde ein ehemaliges Verwaltungsgeb\u00e4ude, <em>Modern Two<\/em>, auf der gegen\u00fcberliegenden Stra\u00dfenseite integriert, um mehr zeitgen\u00f6ssische Kunst zu beherbergen. Der Verkehr kann jedoch w\u00e4hrend der Hauptverkehrszeiten sehr dicht sein und die Beschilderung zum Museum ist eher unauff\u00e4llig. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wir fanden einen geb\u00fchrenpflichtigen Parkplatz, der von 9.45 bis 17.30 Uhr ge\u00f6ffnet war, in der N\u00e4he jedes Geb\u00e4udes.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Die Geb\u00fchr betr\u00e4gt <strong>\u00a35 f\u00fcr eine Parkdauer von bis zu 4 Stunden<\/strong> und <strong>\u00a39 f\u00fcr eine<\/strong> <strong>Parkdauer<\/strong> <strong>von 4 bis 8 Stunden<\/strong>.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Es ist nicht m\u00f6glich, l\u00e4nger als 8 Stunden zu bleiben oder \u00fcber Nacht zu parken.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bei starkem Andrang k\u00f6nnen die Pl\u00e4tze schnell voll werden, daher wird eine fr\u00fche Anreise empfohlen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" Besuchsrichtung<\/h3>\n\n<p>An dem f\u00fcr unseren Besuch vorgesehenen Tag konnten wir nur <em>Modern One<\/em> besuchen<em>(Modern Two<\/em> war wegen der Installation einer neuen Ausstellung geschlossen). Wir begannen mit dem Erdgeschoss, wo wir die<strong>tempor\u00e4re Ausstellung<\/strong> des s\u00fcdkoreanischen K\u00fcnstlers Do-Ho-Suh sahen, bevor wir in das Obergeschoss mit der <strong>st\u00e4ndigen Sammlung<\/strong> gingen. Hier sahen wir Werke der bekanntesten Namen der modernen und zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Kunst sowie Werke schottischer K\u00fcnstler.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Wir nutzten die wenigen Tage unseres Aufenthalts in Edinburgh, um die Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art zu besuchen und <em>Modern Two<\/em> w\u00e4hrend der Er\u00f6ffnung der Ausstellung <em>Women in Revolt<\/em> zu besichtigen! Dies gab uns die M\u00f6glichkeit, die engagierte Ausrichtung der Einrichtung und den Ausdruck der Forderungen der ausgestellten K\u00fcnstler zu w\u00fcrdigen.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image Die Werke untersuchten die Konzepte von Erinnerung, Identit\u00e4t und Fortbewegung mit Hilfe von leichten Materialien, haupts\u00e4chlich F\u00e4den und durchscheinenden Stoffen. <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Scotland\/Edinburgh\/Scottish-National-Gallery-of-Modern-Art\/i-z7kcq3J\/0\/L9WWx8dm7xsdvHjmwPGQbsmS27fckt4xQFpRvmWh4\/L\/do-ho-suh-gallery-modern-art-edinburgh-L.jpg\" alt=\"Ausstellung Modern One, Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, Edinburgh\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>Eine lebensgro\u00dfe architektonische Installation lud dazu ein, durch Korridore und R\u00e4ume zu gehen, die aus Textilien nachgebildet wurden und mit Transparenz und \u00dcberlagerungen spielten. Die Atmosph\u00e4re der Ausstellung war intim, poetisch und zutiefst sinnlich. Jahrhunderts im Obergeschoss<\/h3>\n\n<p>Im Obergeschoss konnten wir in der st\u00e4ndigen Sammlung die wichtigsten Werke der Kunst des 20. Jahrhunderts. Es beherbergt oft engagierte Projekte, bei denen die Erfahrung in einer direkten Beziehung zu den Werken und Ideen aufgebaut wird. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ein au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnlicher Ort f\u00fcr einen engagierten Blick<\/h3>\n\n<p><em>Modern Two<\/em> befindet sich in einem <strong>ehemaligen Verwaltungsgeb\u00e4ude<\/strong>, das Ende der 1990er Jahre in einen Museumsraum umgewandelt wurde. Die Ausstellung war reich an Archivmaterial, Postern, Videos und Installationen und zeigte die K\u00e4mpfe von K\u00fcnstlerinnen gegen soziale Normen und patriarchalische Strukturen. <\/p>\n\n<figure
